During the Hundred Years' War, Joan of Arc and King Charles VII led the French to defeat England at the Battle of Orleans. In the late 1340's, rats carrying the Plague killed one out of 3 Europeans.

What a sweet pict of older brother and younger sis reading together! I love those moments!
My DD-9yo walked through the room just now as I was perusing your weekly report. She saw the picture of the wrestlers (the copywork page) and says, "Ewww! Look at those funny guys dancing together?" I almost fell on the floor LOL. I had her read the sentence and she says, "Well now - don't I just feel like a big ol' fool!"
