The Evolution Of Our 11' x 11' Humble Homeschool Garden

Despite a chilly summer, we managed to grow a few veggies.  Here is the timeline:

Part 1....May
Abi & Aly chose the seeds...

Anna started a few seeds in the house....
In June, Andrew dumped new topsoil in our newly weeded raised beds....
He received plenty of help from the girls....
Andrew & Anna raked the manure into the new topsoil....
In July, the girls finished planting....
Mom joined in on the fun...
 Digging....
 More digging...
 Almost done...
 Final cucumber plant....
 Add water...
I'm so proud of my rookie gardeners!
They thoroughly enjoyed this project.
Now we pray for sun,
And wait...

Part 2....Harvest in August!

Part 3....Harvest in September!
Our tomatoes didn't ripen until September!

Part 4....October harvest & clean up!

We picked Rosemary to make muffins...
We looked at the pattern on the leaves....

We found the seeds that we planted last April attached to the roots!

We then did a sketch of the root system of the
zucchini & cucumber plants.
Thankfully we'll have Rosemary all winter....

The girls loved watching our humble homeschool garden grow!
